17th European Championships Latest News
We have an exciting new venue and a new date for the 17th European Championships! The 2011 event will be held from Friday 4th March to Monday 7th March 2011 inclusive, at the new location of Brean Leisure Park, Brean Sands, Somerset.
Special guests and instructors will include Charlotte Macari and Brian Barakauskas.

About the Country & Western Dance Council
The Country Western Dance Council was formed in March 1995.
It was realised by this country's leading Country Western Dance Instructors at the time, that a unifying Governing body was essential for this new emerging Industry.
Within a framework initially suggested by the British Council of Ballroom Dancing a Committee was formed and Chaired by Coral Burton.
The dedication and hard work of the founders and members of the National Committee the C.W.D.C. has grown into what is now the nationally recognised Country Western organisation that provides a structure and framework from within which this industry can grow in a professional and ethical manner.
Today the CWDC provides teaching, certification, insurance and PPL for its members, as well as organising and running competitions all over the United Kingdom and Europe.
Mission Statement
The mission of the Country Western Dance Council is to provide a set of rules for competitor's which will be adhered to at all C.W.D.C. sanctioned event’s. The Rules are set out for the benefit of all competitors to follow, so that all competitors are judged fairly.

Our new web site has been specially designed by dancers, for dancers. Make sure you check out our new members area where you will find newsletters, dance scripts and photo galleries from competitions and social events.
